We have all heard the adage that people do business with those they know, like, and trust. If you have the right customer service and customer relationship management tools in place, you can turn your clients into referral sources for your business.

It all starts with providing an amazing customer experience from the beginning. No matter what your product or service is, aim to Wow every time. Here are 6 tips or strategies you can implement right away:

  • Train your team and make sure each member understands the importance of creating the best experience for the customer.
  • Celebrate your customers! Create your own Customer Appreciation Day. Offer discounts, create a fun atmosphere, or give your best customers a gift. Be creative and have fun.
  • Send handwritten cards. Track and celebrate you customer’s birthday or their anniversary of becoming your client. Or you can send a note thanking them for trusting you to provide the service you do.
  • Stay top of mind. Connect with you customers in-between appointments with a newsletter, social media interaction, or a marketing campaign.
  • Survey you customers. Are you meeting their needs and expectations? Strive to Under Promise and Over Deliver. Customers will appreciate that you ask them for their opinion.
  • Create a referral program. Offer your customers a discount, a referral fee, or another bonus for referring their friends and family to your business.
